Welcome to Ozark Redbones.com! The Cox family has had years of experience in coon hunting and dealing with the finest breed of hound - THE REDBONE! We actively coon hunt in the beautiful Ozark hills which are located in the Mark Twain National Forest near Winona Missouri. We've spent many a night prowling the Ozarks in pursuit of the elusive Ringtail and we pride ourselves on owning some of the best coon dogs around...

We currently raise pups from our male Redbone who we call "Dan" and our female Redbone known as "Anne". In the past few years, we have had several litters from this pair and have yet to hear of one of their pups preforming poorly.

We generally begin working with new pups as soon as they can walk and within 6 months they turn out to be solid tree dogs. Right from the get go, our dogs are trained to hunt hard but are also cared for in an outstanding manner. Dan, our eldest Redbone is a live in house dog and we wouldn't have it any other way. Like all our dogs, he's clean, well mannered and alot of fun around the house (when he's not busy snoozing on his own special bed Click Here for a picture).

At this time, we don't competition hunt but our dogs have proven themselves to us and that is what counts. Generally we have one to two litters available per year and will soon be taking deposits on pups.
